The AOC U3277PWQU offers a 31.5-inch 4K screen with excellent color reproduction and resolution without a very steep price tag.
This 4K monitor uses a specialized VA panel that includes a 10-bit interface with a deep contrast ratio for wide range coverage, which makes it suitable for gaming and watching.
The AOC U3277PWQU offers specs at a price that looks great, and it’s fun to test and see how much money you spend on real-world performance.
Design and features
The AOC U3277PWQU uses a home charm with a black piano brush brushed by metal strips suitable for most homes and offices. The margins are not the desired size of 20 mm per diameter, although they still make sense for a display of this size. What’s great is that the AOC was able to keep the ratios relatively small, despite the screen size.
The bottom edge of the OSD is below the bottom edge with a bright LED that glows red when using the blue monitor in standby mode. The rear panel of the chassis has a minimum protrusion that is flat, making the AOC U3277PWQU suitable for wall mounting or flash.
There is a convenient hub on the right side of this section with five USB slots, one for charging (yellow) and the other for upstream (type B).
The input and output design of the AOC U3277PWQU is relatively simple and includes only options for everyday use. The panel consists of DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI MHL, plus DVI-DL, and VGA for signal inputs, so almost any type of GPU is compatible even if some of them are not suitable for 4K operation.
There’s also a pair of 3-watt speakers for basic audio evaluation, but we still recommend getting a headset or speaker suitable for games and movies.
Unlike its predecessor, the AOC U3277PQU, the AOC U3277PWQU has a TN panel instead of IPS, resulting in a superior static contrast ratio of 3000: 1. Image quality is more vivid and vibrant due to the better connection between dark and light colors as well as the ability to display black shadows at greater depths.
The AOC U3277PWQU display covers true 10-bit color support that covers 100% of the sRGB color spectrum. Along with the monitor, you will receive a piece of paper with a report of brightness uniformity (99-101%) and color accuracy details (Delta-E 1.11 sRGB).
4K Ultra HD resolution with a 31.5-inch screen results in a generous pixel density of approximately 139 pixels per inch. Those sitting a little further away from their screen may want to scale the UI between 125-150% to increase small desktop items such as text to close-range readability. By doing this, you will have a screen real estate of approximately 1440p resolution on a 27-inch monitor, although the details are clearer.
The AOC U3277PWQU monitor offers impressive connectivity and ergonomic options. The connection ports are: VGA, Dual-Link DVI, HDMI 2.0 with MHL support, DisplayPort 1.2, dual USB 2.0, dual USB 3.0 (one with fast charging capacity), audio output and linear audio for 2x3W internal speakers
The AOC U3277PWQU VA panel monitor offers a fast response time of 4 milliseconds with gray-to-gray pixel transitions. In some fast-paced games, there was a ghost, but somewhat tolerable.
In everyday use, it is not visible at all. There is no screen flicker because the screen does not use PWM (pulse width adjustment) and there is no significant bleeding in the backlight.
Obviously, the AOC U3277PWQU is by no means a game monitor. But video games are still attractive because of the vibrant colors. However, it is not recommended for competitive games because it offers a relatively average input latency of about 34 mm.
In addition, if you are involved in a competitive game, you can get a high-refresh monitor with variable sync technology for the same amount of money, albeit at a lower screen resolution.
The AOC U3277PWQU uses a 31.5-inch VA panel by InnoLux, which they call the AAS or Azimuthal Anchoring Switch LCD. This module has a resolution of 3840*21*2160, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and a response time of 4 milliseconds, plus support for 10-bit color without vibration and matte AG coating.
A contrast ratio of 3000: 1 and a maximum brightness of 350cd / m2 are also specified for deep blacks.
This model with factory calibration report and fully saturated image with slightly cool color is acceptable for most cases. AOC U3277PWQU has a suitable color coating that includes 90% of the Adobe RGB spectrum with some green deviations.
Selecting the default sRGB creates a good gamma curve of 2.2, but reduces vivacity and increases sRGB coverage by 99%.
These minor imperfections may confuse precision specialists as incorrect saturation levels may affect the color integrity of their production media. However, the AOC U3277PWQU with Delta E resolution is only 1.7 by default or 1.3 after calibration. And the contrast ratio has reached 2700: 1, depending on the brightness.

If you are looking to join others who enjoy 4K content on their 4K UHD monitors but cheaper 24% -28% monitors are too small for your taste, AOC U3277PWQU is your best choice that does not break your bank. Well, at least not like the others.
Overall, the AOC U3277PWQU monitor offers exceptional image quality with a large real estate screen. In addition, it has full ergonomic support and wide connectivity.
Its only drawback is the input delay, although it is very satisfying for casual games. Then, if you want to play competitive games, it is better with a lower resolution monitor with a higher refresh rate and/or variable sync technology.
