Asus ROG Flow X13 GV301QH-DS96 gaming laptop is AMD Ryzen 9 NVIDIA, GeForce GTX 1650, 16 GB, 1TB SSD, Windows 10 Home Basic has a 13.4-inch screen for your daily needs.
The Asus ROG Flow X13 GV301QH-DS96 laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 processor and comes with 16 GB of RAM and 1 terabyte of SSD memory at this price.
This is the operating system. As far as the graphics card is concerned, this notebook has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card for managing graphics functions. To keep it alive, it has a 4-cell lithium-ion battery and weighs 1.32 kg.
Design and features
By itself, it may be easy to put the Asus ROG Flow X13 GV301QH-DS96 with your lightweight and lightweight laptop. Its clean design misrepresents the ability to play the game, with a typical black-and-white square shape, with a few small “games” such as textures on the door and backlit keyboard pen.
There’s no RGB and no wide “forehead”, as you can see on some Max-Q laptops – just a perfectly built notebook the size of an ultrabook that you can put in your bag without any other thought.
The GTX 1650 has no downsides – it plays normal or low-confidence games without any damage – but if you want to play more serious games, you need to connect the docking station ROG XG Mobile. With exclusive PCIe / USB-C interface. (Currently, XG Mobile is only on the list of Flow X13 compatibles – but it is possible that Asus may offer other compatible laptops in the future.)
When you turn it on, a pop-up window will appear on the laptop asking you if you want to enable higher-level graphics, and after clicking OK, wait a few seconds for it to turn on. Your user must be an administrator to work, but this should not be an obstacle for most people.
Not only does the docking station change your graphics for an RTX 3080 Mobile, it also adds four more USB ports, HDMI and DisplayPort for an external monitor, and more stable Ethernet for online multiplayer (which is good, because port selection Slim on your laptop).
In other words, you can bring your laptop home, plug it in and turn it into a compact gaming PC – or bring XG Mobile with you, your laptop Put yourself in a tent with your 360-degree hinge and play with the game screen.
It’s super versatile, and you can really get it for any occasion. Note, however, that the 1920×1200 display – although bright and colorful – is not G-Sync compatible, even though it is labeled “Adaptive-Sync” on the product screen (Asus tells me VRR integrates with AMD graphics in The processor works, but who wants to use them?)
Everything else on the laptop is super well made. The touchpad is smooth and precise, and the keyboard travels deeper than many modern dim lights (it’s not a ThinkPad, but it’s great for longer typing and gaming sessions too.)
Touch screen is useful, webcam is not compatible with unlocking the face.
The sleek 6-row Asus ROG Flow X13 GV301QH-DS96 keyboard has a convenient backlight that can be adjusted to three different brightness levels. Key surfaces, although not particularly rough, have good adhesion. A short trip, along with a stroke that does not suffocate too much, provides a clear typing experience.
The pressure point is clearly marked and easily palpable. In general, the keyboard is also suitable for users who type a lot, and the slightly smaller arrow keys are no longer annoying after a little familiarity.
ClickPad 10.6 6 is 6.2 cm in size and fits well in the structure of the base unit. Its surface is so smooth that if your fingers sweat a small bug.
The touch screen is very responsive and accurate inputs are not a problem. There are two input buttons at the bottom. They draw attention to themselves by pressing a clear sound.
This performance turns into real games as well. Playing in the Battlefield V campaign allowed me to have no problems and easily beat the refresh rate required to use the laptop’s internal display.
Response time is not very fast, so you may see some ghosts in dark scenes, but for a laptop like this is not uncommon and I hardly weighed it down. The keyboard was comfortable all the way and the W key has a small tap, so you can easily return to WASD while playing.
Sure, if you’re playing a serious game, you probably want some kind of external gaming mouse, as the touchpad – even a laptop as good as this laptop – does not give you the real control you need in a quick shake. The first person shooter loves this.
If you play the game with a touchpad, you need to set the sensitivity of the Windows touch screen to the maximum to ensure the best tracking in the game. But seriously, if you do not have a small wireless mouse, get one. For other games, such as Rocket League, I wanted to turn the screen into a tent and use the Xbox controller.
Asus says performance should be 5-10% better when using an external gaming monitor (due to more efficient use of PCIe bandwidth).
Writing about it is nothing, and anyone who uses an external monitor does so because of improved ergonomics and immersion – not to increase performance by 5-10%.
Finally, it’s hard to compare the ROG Flow X13 directly to other gaming laptops, especially since it is so unique and versatile. You pay for this versatility with a hefty price tag – the laptop is not currently available separately from the XG Mobile package, so you should now purchase the entire package for $ 3,000.
Asus has said that this laptop will be available independently in the future and its list is priced at $ 1499.99 on their website.
In terms of game performance, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q delivers a result that satisfies the graphics card fair. Its speed is not much faster than Microsoft Surface Book 3, but it is not slower either.
However, this graphics card quickly reaches its limitations in new titles. Older titles, on the other hand, are handled smoothly by the GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q.
Dedicated GDDR6 VRAM with 4 GB of memory should be emphasized. In 2D mode, AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 delivers graphics output.
AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS supplies Asus laptop. Working with an 8-core, 16-thread machine is really fun. The base speed is 3.3 GHz. In Turbo mode, even up to 4.8 GHz is possible.
As a result, a 35-watt SoC can consume up to 45 watts for as short a time as conditions allow. In comparison, the AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS performs well in both single-core and multidisciplinary tests.
The NVMe Fast SSD (M.2 2230) from Western Digital acts as the system drive. The installed SSD offers 1TB of storage space and is faster than most competitors. However, the Asus ROG Flow X13 is only suitable for one mass storage device.
In addition to the iGPU, the Asus ROG Flow X13 also offers the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q. With 4GB of GDDR6 memory, it has its own VRAM and has almost the same functionality as the model in the Microsoft Surface Book 3.
However, this GPU configuration offers significantly more power than the mid-range, so our review sample is definitely suitable for playing with a dedicated GPU. Equipped with GeForce RTX 3080, the eGPU dock provides the ultimate in graphics power.
These two speakers are located under the floor supports and benefit from a hard surface. On a soft surface, the sound is muffled and therefore much quieter.
The sound of the two speakers is good and better than average. The high tones are not dominant, and the bass is subtle and not completely muted, leading to a balanced sound.

Gaming laptops are generally not known for their incredible battery life, but the ROG Flow X13 retains its full power thanks to the less powerful GTX 1650.
In the PCMark battery life test, Flow survived for more than 9 hours, which is great if you are looking to spend a day without work. Unfortunately, switching to AMD’s integrated graphics card didn’t make a big difference – so there’s rarely a reason to change that setting.
The Asus ROG Flow X13 is not an off-the-shelf convertible. This quickly becomes clear when you look closely at the specifications. Not only sound education but his alertness and dedication too are most required.
AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS is a state-of-the-art SoC with 8 cores and 16 threads, which also makes 2-in-1 an interesting tool. With 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD, gamers are well taken care of.
The dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q fits perfectly into the overall concept and ensures good 3D performance. The small convertible with an eGPU dock equipped with GeForce RTX 3080 becomes a complete desktop replacement in terms of performance.
Nothing to complain about when it comes to building quality. However, the available ports may definitely be too small, as the three USB ports can be used very quickly. In addition, a Type-C port is usually used anyway due to the power adapter.
You can’t play with the RTX 3080 unless the station is plugged into the wall, but the GTX 1650 does its job on its own, so be prepared if you plan to play with it to reduce battery life a bit. If you have a battery pack that can deliver USB Power Delivery, this one will work, too.
